Five New Ways to Use That Napkin
By Allison Couillard
We know how impressed our friends get when we show them that we can fold a cloth napkin swan (it's from all those years working at the French restaurant down the street), but we've been realizing that their potential doesn't stop there! Cloth napkins are handy for all kinds of around the house uses and even some for our furry friends. Here's some of the alternate ways we're putting our napkins to use.
1. Hand towels for a guest bathroom-- There's something elegant in cotton chambray and it's super absorbent too!
2. Puppy bandana-- words aren't really needed for this one, but we bet that your pup would look ultra stylish in a napkin hankie.
3. Men's Kerchief-- my old man used to carry around a hanky with him everywhere. These days my husband and his buddies have taken to wearing one in their back pockets.
4. Wrap up flowers with them-- this is a great way to give mom a gift that smells good and add in something that she'll actually use.
5. Make a potpourri sachet-- they look pretty, smell great, and are fun gifts too! Just fill with your favorite selection of dried flowers or herbs, tie with some twine, and viola!
What do you do with your old napkins?
